![]() Some addons allow extensive functionality to nextbots that developers can use to create nextbots. PNG Chasers aren't the only nextbots to exist in Garry's Mod. Later in 2022 users made more advanced versions of PNG chasers such as Gargitron and Terminus. It wasn't until mid-2022 that this trend started to pick up again. With the influx of "low-effort png chasers" on the workshop many older GMod players refer to these as " sanic clones". This addon started the trend of users creating their version of the addon by replacing the sounds and textures, with some having changed values (such as making the nextbot slower or faster). PNG Chasers made their debut in 2013 with the release of the "Sanic Hegehog" addon created by "Xyxzen" which as the name suggests features Sanic as a PNG chaser. Nextbots can also jump extremely high and can destroy and push objects in their path. PNG Chasers (also called " sanic clones") are nextbots that are usually in the form of a PNG (or sometimes a GIF/VMT) that chase the player at extreme speeds while playing some loud music. More in-depth info on Nextbots can be found on The valve developer community > Here! Navigation meshes can be automatically generated using "nav_generate" or manually created. (navmesh for short as opposed to do nodes" for NPCs for navigation.) Unlike NPCs, Nextbots require a navigation mesh. ![]() Nextbots were first created by Valve for the game Left 4 dead to allow more advanced pathfinding and navigation. Nextbots are NPCs that use the source nextbot system. If you looking for Special nextbots, go here. ![]()
